Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our valued clients and their families.
New PCGS Graded Australian Pre-Decimal Proof Coins
We’ve just listed up a bunch of pre-decimal Queen Elizabeth II proof coins. Many of these with low mintages are worth squirrelling away for the future, all are PCGS graded. Our camera rig is currently down after we blew a globe and have to wait on a special order so we’ve added links to the PCGS images where available. If anyone would like an image we can take photos they just won’t be up to our usual standard until the rig is fixed later next week. Drop us a message or make an offer on the coin you are interested in.
Also new in is the 1937 crown, 1938 crown and 1939 florin.
New Coins Sent To PCGS
We’ve just sent off another submission to PCGS which should turnaround in time for Christmas. It includes a number of quality lustrous pre-decimal coins along with odd high grade world coin and a dash of Aussie decimals. We’ll eagerly await the grades on these coins.
Also over the last few months we’ve added quite a few error coins to the website. This is a passion of ours and bringing quality coins to our buyers is what we get enjoyment from.
PCGS Graded Decimal Coins
Take a look at the PCGS graded decimal coins category with many new coins added and more to be added over the next week. From 1966 to 1983 mint set coins were housed in pvc wallets which have proved over time to destroy the surface of the coin. The degradation of the pvc often leaves a sticky acidic residue on the surface of the coin which damages the coins irrepairably. Now you’d think that post 1983 the coins in blister pack mint sets would be of higher quality but we were surprised how difficult it has been to achieve the top PCGS grades from mint sets. Buy your coins slabbed by PCGS, they will not slab a damaged coin or ones with this pvc damage or pvc residue.
View our quality images first and make up your own mind which coin suits your collection, remember the higher the MS grade (up to MS70*), the better the coin -Australian grading doesn’t always reflect this.
*check the PCGS population report, often there have been very few if not any coins graded at the highest grades.
New World Coins Listed
We’ve just added a number of new high grade world coins to the website along with an upgrade of the World Coins category to make browsing them easier. Stay tuned for more PCGS graded decimals.
