The majesty and wonder of The Seven Sisters or Pleiades constellation is captured in the art of Wajarri-Noonga artist Christine ‘Jugamu’ Collard on this stunning silver uncirculated coin. This coin is the second coin of the Stardreaming series. Indigenous Australians were the first astronomers and have been using the stars as navigation maps, for weather forecasting, as calendars and to tell stories for tens of thousands of years. The Yamaji people of the Murchison region in Western Australia refer to The Seven Sisters as Nyarluwarri and when it sits low on the horizon they know that emu eggs are ready for harvest.
