Temnos civic issue AR Tetradrachm. 188BC-170BC. Temnos in Aeolis.
Later period posthumous Alexander the Great tetradrachm struck in Temnos in Aeolis. Struck on broad 33mm flan, EXENI under right arm on reverse. Temnos was a Greek city state in the region of Aeolis, which is now located in western Turkey and included some of the Greek islands in the Aegean to the west of Anatolia. The site of ancient Temnos can be found near the town of Görece in the Izmir Province of modern Turkey.
