Perth minted 1951 half penny struck using the 1949 obverse die, known as type 4. This is commonly identified because the two I’s of FIDEI align with rim beads. Reverse has no dot. Suggested by numismatist Dr Peter Andrews that this variety (Type 4 obverse, no dot reverse) is the second scarcest halfpenny after the 1923 (Read more here).
