Australia 1951 Sixpence Struck Through Metal Fragment Error
SOLD
Coin Type: | Australia Sixpence |
Year: | 1951 |
Mint: | Melbourne Mint |
Metal: | .5 Silver |
Obverse: | George VI (Thomas H Paget) |
Reverse: | Coat of Arms (W H J Blakemore) |
Large flaw within the portrait on the obverse. This was caused when the coin was struck through a metal fragment or piece of scrap metal. You can easily see the shape of that metal piece and how it was folded at the time of the strike. Very interesting error. Supplied in an archival Saflip.
