Struck completely out of collar and off centre with the parts of the obverse lettering and reverse echidna spines missing. Unusual to see this type of error on a pre-2000 dated coin. Coin grades to choice UNC but there is some damage to the lip around ABETH on the obverse, probably caused by someone removing the error from a jammed coin press.
