This commemorative 1 ounce proof silver coin commemorates the 75th anniversary of the end of World War 2. The reverse features a woman releasing doves, representing peace, and origami cranes, a reference to the Children’s Peace Monument in Hiroshima, Japan. The woman’s hair and garments fall to resemble a wreath wrapping each side of the coin. The coin’s design represents the triumph of peace over war, and solemly commemorates those who fell during the Second World War.
