This 2022 1oz fine silver $5 coin celebrates 200 years since Australia’s first Royal Agricultural Societies were founded in Tasmania and New South Wales. It recognises the contributions of the eight Australian state and territory Royal Agricultural Societies, the agricultural shows they run each year, and the efforts of dedicated volunteers who contribute to those events.
The reverse design is reminiscent of show winner rosettes with eight petals representing the societies each with features of show activities such as wood chopping, bumper cars, ferris wheel, horse jumping and prize winning sheep, cattle and chickens.
Displayed in a presentation case this coin has a limited mintage of 2,022 coins.
