A lovely little sweetheart badge, probably purchased by an Australian soldier and given to a female loved one or relative. In the form of a boomerang and signalling the soldier’s intention to return from war, in the same way that a boomerang returns when thrown.
Gold plated boomerang with Australian Commonwealth Military Forces rising sun affixed to left front of boomerang. Right front of boomerang reads “AUSTRALIA”. Reverse includes intact pin and latch. Dates to World War 1. Measures 50mm wide and 22mm high.
